GENERAL INFORMATION

At Mont Ste-Marie, we take your health and safety, as well as that of our staff members, seriously. For this reason, we have put in place measures to ensure well-being of our Mont Ste-Marie Family.

The Quebec ski resorts are working together with the Québec ski areas association and Quebec Public Health to ensure another safe ski season. This will include, but is not limited to, physical distancing, face coverings hand washing inside the lodge, etc. We reserve the right to limit the number of people in all indoor spaces when required.

Your cooperation is encouraged and we ask that you come ready to spend as much time outside on the slopes as possible.

  • The Rules to be applied as of Saturday, March 12th:
    • Should you or someone in your immediate group/household, experience any COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, difficulty breathing), please stay home;
    • Wearing a face covering in all indoor spaces;
    • Wearing a face covering is recommended in all outdoor* spaces;
    • Washing your hands frequently and must be done upon entering the ski lodge every time;
    • Small personal bags are permitted inside the Lodge;
    • Large bags can be brought inside the warm-up area at the bottom level of the ski chalet but must be returned to car or in gazeebos situated just in front of the ski lodge;
    • Lunch will be permitted in the warm-up area on the lower level of the ski lodge.

* Balaclava, neck warmer and masks are accepted outdoors but must cover nose and mouth and be made of at least 2 layers of tight mesh fabric for all persons 3 years and up.

CHAIRLIFT RULES AND TICKETS/PASSES
  • The purchase of daily lift tickets must still be done online. See our online ‘Shop’ to do so;
  • If you are a season passholder and wish to obtain a credit on your season pass, please contact us via e-mail by December 15, 2021;
  • For daily lift ticket holders and while waiting in line at the Ticket Booth, please ensure you have your booking# ready for the ticket agent when it is your turn;
  • Ensure you have a daily lift ticket (obtained at the ticket booth) or a 2021/22 season pass to show the lift attendant. It must be on your left bottom side of your jacket. Please present/show it to the lift attendant every time you use the lift;
  • Please follow all signage posted regarding directions and rules;
  • Hours of Operation** :
    • Vanier Quad – 9:00 to 16:00 (Monday to Friday); 8:30 to 16:00 (Saturday and Sunday)
    • Cheval Quad – 9:30 to 15:30 (Monday to Friday); 9:00 to 15:30 (Saturday and Sunday)
    • Poma – 9:00 to 16:00 (Saturday, Sunday, School Breaks and Holidays)
    • Main Ski Lodge – 8:00 to 17:00

WHAT TO BRING

  • A face coverings for indoors (recommended for outside as well);
  • Plan on paying by debit or credit card to minimize contact while purchasing;
  • Plan extra clothing, especially warm clothing for possible long wait-lines.

** Opening hours of lifts may be delayed due to adverse weather

SKI LODGE AND WARM-UP AREAS
  • To access the restaurants in the main lodge, please use main doors at the top of front terrasse/balcony;
  • The wearing of masks, washing/disinfecting hands remains MANDATORY;
  • Hours of Operation** :
    • Main Ski Lodge – 8:00 to 17:00
    • Le Chaudron restaurant – 8 :30 to 16 :00
    • Ryan II restaurant – 11:00 to 17:00 (Wednesday to Sunday)
  • Washrooms:
    • Before leaving the washrooms, please wash your hands with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds
  • Warm-up Areas:
    • Warm-up area inside the Main Lodge is situated on the bottom level of the ski lodge;
    • Wear a face covering/mask; wash/disinfect your hands; keep 1m apart;
    • Bags will be permitted in the lower level of the Main Lodge but must be returned to your car or the gazeebos in front of the lodge. Lunch boxes are also permitted in this warm-up area. We are not responsible for lost or stolen objects.
SNOW SCHOOL
  • Private lesson reservation must be done by calling 819-467-5200, ext 235;
  • Respect all sanitary measures put in place by Quebec Public Health;
  • Instructors must wear individual protective gear (such as a mask and protective eyewear) and follow health and safety protocols;
  • Skiers from 3 years old and up must wear a face covering. Balaclava, neck warmer and masks are accepted outdoors but must cover nose and mouth and be made of at least 2 layers of tight mesh fabric. The wearing of mitts/gloves, helmet and goggles is recommended;
  • Respect the 1m physical distancing rule between you and the instructor and other students;
  • For the weekend programs, the concept of stable groups will be applied, i.e. the same students, as far away from each other as possible, always stay together. This is also applied when taking the chairlift;
  • Follow the lift line policies, all indoor and outdoor policies;
  • Meeting place for lessons will be outside in a specific location;
  • Limit of 1 helper per household will be accepted in the Ski Lodge, if necessary;
  • If a child is unable to participate without constant assistance or needs help getting on and off the chairlift, a parent or caregiver may need to be present to assist (must have a valid lift ticket or season pass).
RENTAL AND REPAIR SHOP
  • Wear a mask inside and in line-ups; follow protocols of directional circulation; wash your hands;
  • To reserve your rental equipment, please call 819-467-5200, ext 233.
RESTAURANT
  • To access either restaurants in the Main Lodge, please use the main doors at the top of the front balcony/terrasse;
  • Plan on bringing and using another mask for inside the Lodge; wash/disinfect your hands upon entering; decide which restaurant you want to go;
  • Plan on paying by debit or credit card to minimize contact while purchasing;
  • Once you are seated at your table, you may remove your mask. Upon getting up, you must put your mask back on;
  • Hours of Operation of restaurants:
    • Le Chaudron restaurant – 8am to 4pm
    • Ryan II Bar and Restaurant – 11am to 5pm (from Wednesdays to Sundays);
  • The Ryan II Bar and restaurant will have a limit of 40 minutes once you are seated at your table and have placed your order (of course, this also depends on the line-ups for the restaurant);
  • We will follow protocols regarding disinfecting and cleaning of all restaurants, including tables between each group of persons.
CLOSURE OF CERTAIN SERVICES
  • Seasonal and daily lockers will not be available;
‘BUY WITH CONFIDENCE’ POLICY

‘BUY WITH CONFIDANCE’ POLICY

Mont Ste-Marie’s policy for the 2021-2022 season to ensure that you feel confident in purchasing your Season Pass is as follows:

  • Full credit applied towards the 2022-23 season for your 2021-22 season pass if the request is made BEFORE December 15, 2021 and the pass is UNUSED.
  • After December 15 and in the event of a closure due to COVID-19, guests can request a credit for their season pass according to the cancellation policy below.

NOTE: December 15th is the date to make your decision, and not the projected first day of the ski season. We hope to open early December and closing early April, as conditions allow.

 

2021-22 SEASON PASS CANCELLATION POLICY

Once the ski season has begun at Mont Ste-Marie, the following cancellation policy will be applied automatically to all requests for credits on a pro rata basis due to COVID and based on a 100-day season (Dec. 16, 2021 – March 25, 2022).

Example: You purchased an Adult Pass at $889 and we were forced to close on January 29th, 2022. January 29th is the 45th day after Dec. 15th – Therefore, you have 55 days remaining, which means a 55% credit for next season: $889 X 55% = $488.95 your credit towards a 2022/23 season pass.

How to request a credit:

Guests must send their request to info@montstemarie.com. The following information must be indicated: first and last name, type of season pass, 5-digit confirmation number (if pass was purchased online), email address (to receive confirmation of your credit) and the reason for the request.

 

 

2021-22 SNOW SCHOOL PROGRAM CANCELLATION POLICY

A credit will be given on any unused part of a program, for example 4 weekends out of 8, credit 50%. The credit can be applied to any product sold at Mont Ste-Marie in the 2022/23 season, not including food and beverage.

Guests must send their request to ski@montstemarie.com. The following information must be indicated: name of program participant, parent’s name (if applicable), type of program, email address (to receive confirmation of your credit) and the reason for the request.

 

2021-22 DAY TICKETS AND RENTAL EQUIPMENT CANCELLATION POLICY

A credit can be provided if the product (day ticket or rental equipment) has not been utilized. The credit will be applicable to the 2022/23 season towards the same product purchased in 2021/22 season.

Clients are asked to send their request to info@montstemarie.com. Information needed: name, name of buyer (if different), type of product, email address (to receive confirmation of credit) as well as the reason for the request.

 

**Please Note: All credits are subject to Mont Ste-Marie’s approval and we reserve the right to modify this policy at any time during the season. We also reserve the right to change our opening hours, to close or reduce operations based on adverse weather conditions and our rates at any time
